Agyness Deyn - Virgin London Marathon

Mancunian model Agyness Deyn and Dolce & Gabbana's favourite, David Gandy, swapped the catwalk for the finishing line as they took part in the Virgin London Marathon yesterday.

Deyn's best friend, fashion designer Henry Holland, joined the top models to pound the streets - along with 36,000 other runners - to raise money for their chosen cause: Oxfam.

But who was first past the finishing line…? Holland, as a matter of fact, in an impressive three hours, 28 minutes and 59 seconds.

"NEVER AGAIN," the exhausted designer tweeted after the race.

An hour behind him was Gandy, who completed in 4 hours 35 minutes, quickly followed ten minutes later by Deyn, who couldn't wait to share her experience via Twitter: "Running the marathon is such a powerful experience which digs deep into the soul of your being. I highly recommend!"

Deyn recently took a trip to Tanzania to visit a project funded by Oxfam, and made a rare television appearance on Lorraine Live to promote the charity, saying: "I've grown up with Oxfam shops, but actually going there makes it so real, so moving, so meaningful to be in contact with the kids and the communities."

Style.com: The “Carmen” Debuts At Balmain

A Daria sighting on the catwalk paired with a slew of other soon-to-be supers (Freja, Kasia, Anja) in studded leather jackets was enough to grab our attention at the Balmain show this morning. But it was Carmen Kass’ rare runway appearance that really caused us to commence ogling. There was Kass, in all of her statuesque Estonian glory, sporting a new choppy crop! Whoever could have helmed such an amazing, transformational cut on the typically long-haired Kass—the image of whose cornsilk blond, braided strands in that iconic Narciso Rodriguez for Her fragrance ad circa 2007 will forever be burned into our brain? Hairstylist Sam McKnight, of course, the man who gave us the “Aggy” and many other memorable moments in hair. Kass apparently lopped off her locks over the summer, according to her agent, but the wispy cut and fringe she debuted this morning came via a pre-show shearing courtesy of McKnight. Love it. You, too?

Veruschka von Lehndorff Is London’s Top Model

London's runways are typically a launch pad for newbies. In seasons past, Kirsi Pyrhonen, Julia Nobis, and Tati Cotliar all made their catwalk breakthrough via the Big Smoke's innovative shows. This season proved to be another story.

New Jersey's Kirby Kenny had a strong showing, opening for Erdem and House of Holland and closing for Sass & Bide. Runway fixture Lisanne de Jong hit it big this week when she opened for Burberry, while Burberry Beauty face Nina Porter closed out the show in the most memorable way possible. Good ol' Aggy opened for Giles, but it was the show's closer, the legendary 71-year-old Veruschka von Lehndorff, who takes the crown. Giles Deacon has a habit of dragging out some of fashion's most iconic faces for his shows, but booking Veruschka was easily his most impressive casting coup to date.
